NPA~Marine

NPA~Marine is the marine sector of the National Parks Association of NSW (NPA), a non-profit, non-government organisation working to improve the protection and understanding of NSW oceans.

Our Mission

- To improve the protection and understanding of our marine environment
- To promote active community ownership of the marine environment
- To campaign for a comprehensive system of well-managed marine sanctuaries that protects at least 20% of all marine habitat types across NSW.

NPA~Marine projects: Manning Matters: Focussed on obtaining significant marine sanctuary outcomes through the proposed marine park on the NSW mid north coast.

Let Lucy Live! Dedicated to saving Australia’s east coast population of Grey Nurse Sharks. Lucy is one of these harmless sharks and forms the face of the campaign.

HarbourKeepers and CoastKeepers: Two separate projects that allow the community to explore and safeguard their oceans. HarbourKeepers focuses on Sydney Harbour whilst CoastKeepers stretches along the NSW coast. Events include marine surveying, clean ups and coastal bush regeneration.
